Our fifty papaya trees keep going through most of the year, which makes papaya the fruit we can almost always offer.
Papaya is one of the fruits most often ripened artificially before it reaches a market. Ours is not. It is cut when it turns on the tree, which means it arrives ready to eat and tastes sweet all the way to the skin.
Green papaya is available too, if you want it for sabzi or salad.
